Antec ISK 300-150. Case was very well built and solid, took 20 minutes to complete the build from unboxing till the time I launched windows install. It is extremely quiet, my only complaint is that due to the lack of room and short wires, it's difficult to keep them away from the CPU fan, and air flow seems to be poor although they do have vents running all the way down both sides which is nice.

Running it with a Gigabyte H61N ITX motherboard, 8GB Corsair 1333MHz and a Sandy Bridge 3450S i5. Crucial 128GB M4 SSD. Windows 8 CP

Passmark ratings are
CPU: 7,465
2D : 436.2
3D : 336.1
Memory: 2220.9
Disk: 1301.9
Overall: 1846.8

Cost was $535, not counting Windows. Usually idles around 35C with stock fan, it is extremely quiet. Case gets warm at load, the only thing that worries me is the hard drives are right above the PSU, though their is a small slot for a slim optical drive which is empty.

I built it to test the setup and see what the power draw was and how it performed. So far fairly pleased, the CPU is matching my 2500K (not OC'd) in performance and using a lot less power, temps are about the same.

If I could do it over again, I'd get ahold of the Asus P8Z77, a 3770S, faster memory. I'd also use a low profile aftemarket CPU cooler and add a 2nd fan (which i'll probably do anyways). I also wouldnt install windows 8 on a desktop. 🙁

I'm 90% happy for you and 10% jealous. That is a much better HTPC than what I'm using. Did you have any issues with Windows 8 and your SSD?
 
No issues with the SSD and Windows 8 that I know of. I hadn't heard of any problems before, what all has been reported?

I am really wishing I had gone with the Asus P8Z77 motherboard and 3770. If anyone was going to make a build with this would recommend going that route and wasn't planning on a video card, I would get a 3770K. I immediately fell in love with the sandy bridges when I saw the 2500K, but now the Ivy Bridge is like the hot girl who just next door to me.
 
Thread is a bit old but...

Puma, can you post your power draw measurements for your setup?? Idle and load.

I've got a spare ISK 310-150 and was thinking of going with a similar setup, but need to know how much headroom there is for a video card.
