I'm kinda holding off a HTPC build until these cards come out. But I thought it was today they were released. But I can't find anything on them, but old news. Did I have the date wrong?

Thanks!

Thanks Zap. Yeah, I forget about the articles on this site. Need to get to the front page more often, I guess.

So I had the date right. Sounds like it'll be a few days or weeks before these are in store.

Maybe postponed to januari 28th, like the HD3870 X2, to ensure a hard launch ? I mean, AMD managed to hard launch the HD3850 and the HD3870, I see no reason they can't do the same for their lower end cards.

"120 Stream Processors - Horsepower to support demanding games and graphics applications"
Straight from AMD's page. I thought the 3600 series was supposed to have the full 320 stream processors, but half the memory width?

The 3400 series says it only comes with 40 stream processors.

...
today we see the low end of the market get a much needed update
...
AMD has promised a very hard launch
...
We wish we could have had hardware available for this launch.

Quick check on Newegg... nothing.

Doesn't sound too promising for a hard launch. Heck, the 8800GT had a harder launch (barely).

AMD has info on their page now

Again, they havent even launched yet, so of course there wouldnt be anything on newegg. It doesnt launch till the 28th.. which is days away.

Once a week should do the trick... about how often articles get posted. :|

That's a good point.

320 stream processors is the rumored 3690/3820. That card requires additional PEG power, while the launching 3650 does not.
