These are a major driver revision from NVidia. These drivers drop support for DX10 hardware, and focus exclusively on DX11 video cards; including Maxwell obviously..

I think it's because NVidia has supported most but not all of the DX11.2 spec via their DX11_0 feature level hardware, but is only now exposing those DX11.2 capabilities with this updated driver.

It's kind of like how they didn't support all of the DX11.1 spec, but they supported most of it, and all of the important features..

BTW, these drivers are fantastic! :thumbsup:

Exactly. Because his GTX670 is 11.0 only.

Fermi/Kepler/Maxwell 1(GM10x) supports feature level 11_0.

Maxwell 2(GM20x) supports feature level 11_3.
