I was reading on newegg that the newer 3400+ clawhammer chips oc better. They are the CO revisions of this year and are better for oc'ing.

Will that make a difference? Or is it still just better off to get the newcastle core.

Either way i may oc in about 1-2 years when the warrenty is almost gone. Then is when i'm concerned about, so this is my question:

Should i A: Buy the newcastle core for $20 less than the clawhammer and know ill get good oc's and good performance
---or---
B: Buy the clawhammer for $20 more because the new revision makes a big difference.

I need help deciding this. I know they are both great, (and the newcastle seems to be faster w/o oc also) but i'm thinking ahead a bit too. Thx!

C0 (not CO) is the old revision. it is CG that you want. however, the newcastle is a bit faster at a given rating than the clawhammer for most tasks, and adding the fact that it is cheaper means you should go with it.

thanks, so i will probably go with the NC. The thing i liked about the CH is that i could oc it 200 mhz and get a true 3700+, but that's not really a big deal at all.
