335i vs Cayman/S

Definitely under 30k for a 335i.

I haven't driven either, so I can't really say...I'd want to drive them both and see which one felt better.

Yeah would obviously have to drive them both. Test drove a Boxster S 3 years ago before buying the mini, it was a beast to me at the time, but I could barely drive a 6 speed. Think I had it in third most of the time lol. It was also a little out of my price range then (20k), so I bought the Mini for 12k.

Yeah, 30 grand gets a newer 335, but the miles on BMW's always seem so high like 80k+, which seems like too much for me. Plenty of Caymans are under 30k miles, some even in the teens still. Plus I've been pretty turned off by the reliability/maintenance costs of BMW/Mini... not that I'm delusional enough to think Porsche would be any better but I love the exotic name for nearly the same cost. Plus if I can get a Porsche with 50k miles less than a similar BMW... that's a no brainer.

I have a 2007 335i that I love. The torque from the turbos on the street is just intoxicating and the steering is almost telepathic. I came from a C5 Corvette, so I'm getting about 90% the performance in a much nicer package and better ride. Backseat is nice if you need to haul four people in a pinch - decent room it's just difficult getting back there. I do miss the attention my torch red vette drew sometimes though

good to know you consider fitting things in the rear to be important.

I don't know about you, but my son is pretty damn important to me.

Legs, as in if you put the front seat back far enough for me to sit in comfortably the back of the front seat was almost touching the front edge of the cushion of the rear seat.

The Mustang convertible was one such vehicle.

I don't know about you guys but I'm 5'11" and I usually have the front seat back all the way or nearly all the way so in a vehicle like this that makes the seat behind me all but useless for carrying people.

Maybe in a pinch if everyone in the car was uncomfortably folded up like pretzels you could carry 4 people in a car like this but it wouldn't be comfortable and it wouldn't be fun.

Do you do a "gangsta lean" while driving too? While tiptoeing the pedals? Must be hard for you to buy pants because you have some odd dimensions... J/K. But yeah, if you push the seat all the way back then there might be a problem. There's still the right rear passenger seat, which is enough for my purpose.
