333 2t vs 400 1t

Are there any benchmarks around to compare the performance hit when going from 400 1t cmd rate to 333 2t?

I have the old Winchester core and am contemplating another hit to my wallet.

I just did this upgrade this past Saturday. I didn't have time to run a full benchmark suite, but I ran a quick 3Dmark05 and also ran BF2. BF2 with 1GB of ram (all settings on high, 16x12, 4x/8x) chugged like a mofo for the first minute or so like always. Installed the other 2 sticks, booted back up at the 333mhz 2T. BF2 now ran like a dream. Not a single stutter. Night and day, truly. Ran 3dmark05. No difference in score at all.

Still trying to tweak the settings though because I am unable to overclock to the exact settings I had prior to going 4 sticks. I was at 300 * 8x with a /133 divider. I can't get past 2250 at the moment. With a little more testing, I'm sure I'll find the right settings.

orange: there are some side-to-side comparisons out there that I looked at. They were in a forum thread (not here). The result difference was generally 3-5%, assuming same amount of ram.

Not sure what upgrade you are contemplating since your post doesnt say. However, if you do like deadsquirrel did and add ram, you will get better performance in memory-intensive jobs (duh). I did the same thing he did & now run 2x512 & 2x256. Going from 512 to 1.5gigs made a world of difference. I run 260x10 w/ 5/6 (333) divider (=~217), 2.5 4 4 7, 4x, 2T.
