33 Names of Things You Never Knew had Names

22. PEEN
The end of a hammer head opposite the striking face.

That is wrong. Peen is the head opposite the striking face of a BALL-PEEN hammer. A claw hammer obviously has a claw on the opposite side for removing nails.

The names of those giant bottles of wine/liquor:

Rehoboam: 4.5 L
Methuselah: 6 L
Salmanazar: 9 L
Balthazar: 12 L
Nebuchadnezzar: 16 L

7. FERRULE
The metal band on a pencil that holds the eraser in place.

I knew that.

8. HARP
The small metal hoop that supports a lampshade.
And that

9. HEMIDEMISEMIQUAVER
A 64th note. (A 32nd is a demisemiquaver, and a 16th note is a semiquaver.)

And that

22. PEEN
The end of a hammer head opposite the striking face.

And that.

28. SCROOP
The rustle of silk

What the hell is a rustle of silk? 😕

No, you're wrong. The Ball is the peen, hence the name ball-peen. The flat face is the striking face and the opposite side for peening work. There are other types of peens too other than ball depending on how fine a point you want.

Obscure and obsolete words:

22. RESISTENTIALISM - Seemingly spiteful behaviour manifested by inanimate objects.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the term was created by an author as a satirical poke at existentialism.

If you went to a geisha house, you would know. Scroops abound.
