I bought 200
KingPro 32X Silver/Silver A Grade CD-R Recordable Media Disk 100 Pieces Cake Box Pack-Retail
from Newegg.com
I have a 40x Plexwriter and a 500mb cd takes 6mins to burn.
If I use CompUSA 12x rated it takes 3 mins ..

Whats The Deal?

THANKS

So can you burn that 12x media at 32x or 12x? try burnign the 32x at one step below 32x, and make sure that the specific disk you were using is not defective. You may ahve to send them back - newegg.com is good as far as accepting returns. Just tell them it doesn't burn correctly at 32x.

Well, if you're using Nero (and I believe EasyCD Creator allows this too) go ahead and insert one of those KingPro blank media and check out the info given.

Just ran Nero Cd Speed Test
came up with 16x
I put a Old Sony in I save for good stuff and came up at 24x
Wish I had a blank CompUSA to check..
am reading the King Pro and says UP to 32x yeah right..

Called NewEgg.com today

Javier told me that there is nothing he can do..
They just list the manufactures speed and sorry they burn at 20x not the 32x they state..

🙁

I really don't think this is Newegg's problem if the KingPro is advertising it as 32x media. I think your only option is to contact KingPro about this.

Javier called me at home, it seems I cut him off before he could tell me I can get a refund with my shipping..

This is the great server I expected from NewEgg.com

I also see there is Free shipping on the CDRs now not a bad price $23 for 100 silver-silver 24x /32x CDRs with free shipping

Thanks Javier

<< So NewEgg is just selling sub standard parts. >>

Yeah. Exactly. What Newegg should really do is assemble a massive CD-blank testing farm consisting of every combination of burner, OS, and burning program and pay people to run t-tests on the claimed burn speed of a statistically significant sample of blanks from each manufacturer. That would be much better than having you do your homework before purchasing.

No I would not say that cleverhandle

They can do what I did is have Distributer send them soe samples and use NeroCD Speed in the Nero ToolKit that comes with Nero
and test them If they use a Plexwriter CDRW which has been rated #1 for some time now..

They will see what I did 16x and that is far from 32x
