I am looking to buy a GeForce2 card that has good performance. I have been looking around the net at the 64mb DDR version of the GeForce2. The price of this card is about 400+ dollars. There is also the 32mb DDR version of the card for about 200 bucks less. Is the performance difference really that great between the 2 cards?

Thanks,
Shal

I've got the 64, it works fine.;)
What I've been told is that some mfg put higher quality memory on the 64 cards, catering to those users who spend the bigger bucks. I dunno if this is true but a standard GF2 with 64 megs has no trouble with mem speeds above 400mhz (IMHO).
I don't know if the 32 meg cards are that overclockable as I don't own one.
Obviously if your application can take advantage of the extra video ram then it will help there, if not then it won't hurt.

I had a 3d anihilator by creative THE ULTRA. Man this card was rad. I had it watercooled and it ran a good 125-138 fps. I then got rid of it for a vodoo5 5500 That was also a pretty good card as far as performance but the quality blew. I had a geforce2 mx asus v7100 That is a sweet card for the price. BUT MY ALL TIME FAVORITE FOR PRICE AND PERFORMANCE IS THE GLADIAC GTS this card outperformed my 3d anihilator hands down for the price. The graphics are killer. Anti aliasing and 140 FPS. I don't know WHAT ELSA is doing but they are doing it right. I AM running a kt7A and a 1.2 gig processor overclocked . Take it easy. Buy.com has this card for $204 + you can use a 30 off coupon. :)
