32GB RAM on Mini PC?

Hi,

I've two Zotac ZBoxes -- ZBOX-EI750-U (Core i7 4770R) and ZBOX-IQ01-U (Core i7 4770T). As per their CPU spec, max supported RAM is 32GB.

Can any of them support 2x16 GB RAM -- Crucial 16GB Single DDR3L 1600 MT/s (PC3L-12800) SODIMM Memory CT204864BF160B (The RAM details here -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0123BRIDK).

In general, has anyone tried to run older mini pcs which has 4th generation Intel i7 CPUs with 2x16GB DDR3L RAM sticks?

Regards.

Hi bhaisaab,

Both the EI750 and IQ01 should be able to support up to 32GB DDR3L although we have not been able to get our hands on some 16GB sticks to test this yet.

Hi ZOTAC,

I would suggest that you check these link for each models you provided for its memory compatibility and lists of tested memory:

For ZBOX-EI750-U:

For ZBOX-IQ01-U:

I've sent another email to ask if these models (purchased from US/amazon.com) would actually support 2 x 16GB DDR3L sticks. Appreciate if anyone in the forum has tried this and could share result.

Regards.

fwiw, I tried 32gb of DDR3 on one of my fourth-gen BRIX, but it wouldn't even boot. Fingers crossed the Zotac would do better!
