Hey i have a question i want to use a motherboard with a Q8300 processor on it which as you know is a 64bit processor. Can i install windows 7 32bit?

I know this sounds like i'm going backwards but i have to run this software on it that is not 64bit ready. No driver no update. But i want the ability to upgradein the future.

All of these consumer 64bit CPUs are completely backwards compatible with 32bit OS. In fact these CPUs started showing up well before we even had 64bit operating systems.

You just won't be able to use any more than 4G (with caveats) memory and you can't do a a 32-bit->64-bit in-place upgrade so you'll need to do a full reinstall at some point.
