325hp Insignia OPC revealed

That exceeds authorized horsepower limits. You don't need anywhere near that much power, no one does.

And leave my Hemi out of this...

I really like the design of this car. I hope something like this makes its way to the U.S.
Rumor has it the Insignia will make it's way to the States as a new Regal. Who knows, maybe there is a Regal Super in our future?

I agree...although we are getting something very similar with the new Lacrosse coming out (same platform).
There is short and long wheelbase version of the Epsilon platform. The Lacross is the LWB and is about 6" longer between the wheels.

Interesting...I didn't think the Lacrosse was that much bigger. I drove quite a few Vectra's (Insignia predecessor) and it seemed similar in size to a Lacrosse...but I honestly have never been in a current Lacrosse...and obviously not the upcoming Lacrosse on the Epsilon II.

Sub 6 sec 0-60 with 325HP?

That thing needs to go on a diet.

It is definitely a porker...this has been stated in a number of reviews of the regular Insignia...but I don't believe this car in anyway is trying to be a light, nimble, sport sedan. Instead this is an extremely safe, well appointed family sedan with a bit of extra muscle and AWD behind it. It's not being marketed at people wanting a Mazda Miata...it is marketed at people who want a family sedan with a little extra zip.

I think it looks great...and I've heard great things about that engine in the Saab.

Yeah, it's been a good motor in my 9-3

Agreed.

I'm thinking this will be the 9-5 Aero's engine when the all new Saab 9-5 is released later this year as a 2010 model.

Sounds like they are trying to copy a Mazda 6. 🙂

The current Lacrosse is based on the W-body platform which is bigger than the Vectra, but not quite Epsilon II LWB big. Most of the increased wheelbase goes into the rear legroom and trunk. You probably wouldn't notice much of a difference just driving them.

Also, Epsilon I had LWB and SWB versions too. The old Malibu Maxx and current Malibu/Aura twins are LWB. The G6, Vectra, and Saab 9-3 are all SWB.
