3200winnie or 3500 newcastle

What should I get: 3200 winchester or a 3500 newcastle, the place i am buying from has them at a very similar price like only 20 bucks more for the newcastle. Which should I get, I am not overclocking or anything and if I do I doubt it will be much of an OC.

Go ahead and get the 3500, or the 754 3400 (actually a better performer) if you're not obsessed with PCIe at this point. As a side note (yes, I read the post; no flames please), the 3200 Winchester should reach 3500 speed with no voltage boost, though, and if by some chance later on you decided to play around with the chip even more, the Winchester will OC better (I've seen completely Prime stable with 2.7GHz).

I wouldn't think so... but it would be better to ask someone else who is
a) not having a bad day
b) actually a gamer

If you run them both at stock speeds. You will see a slight increase in performance with the 3500 newcastle

If you overclock you will most likely see equal or better performance with the 3200 winchester

assuming you want to overclock, go with the winnie.

otherwise, newcastle.

winnie offers a better overclock, newcastle naturally offers a faster stock speed.
