Hello, i just put together a new computer with overclocking in mind. It is a 3200+ and i want to go in steps. I see most people posting thier stats 2.4,2.5,2.6 but i want to first get to 2.2. Any help on what to do to get there? I believe i should set the HTT to 4x, multiplier to 10x, and fsb to 220Mhz, using sata port 3, agp to 67. speed spectrum off. Just not sure on memory timings and voltages for the cpu, ram, ect... Let me know what you thing. Thanks

Here is my system:
amd 3200+ winchester
msi neo2 plat bios 1.3
ocz plat rev. 2 (2x512)
ocz 520watt
bfg 6800gt oc
samsung sata hd
watercooling

Your voltages should be fine for 220. Your timings should be 2-2-2-8, 7, or 6 1T. Probably need some adjusting there. Definately take the timings off Auto.

then start loosening your memory timings.. the best bet is to start with memtest86 and see how high your ram can go without errors.. try it 220 at 2.0-3-3-10 (you should always set your last one to 10 or 11 anyway, as it makes no difference on performance and increases stability)

Run memtest, specifically test 5 and 6 a few passes to see if the ram can pass it, if not, loosen the timings more, 2-4-4-11, or 2.5-3-3-11 etc.. blah blah read the sticky it has all this in it 😛

I have been at it for 2 weeks. The best I can do is 2275. I have PC3500 CAS2 rated (and did it for six months) only running at 189.5 at cas3-3-8. I have tried voltage all the way to 1.7, and currently at 1.5, it doesn;t care. It won;t run stable (F@H) over 2275(and thats not for sure yet, 2250 was)

Edit:2275 just blew, back to 2250 at 1.5v.
