just starting on a new build for my brother and been away from things a little so wondering if the new venice is better or if i should still go with the winchester...its wierd casu the winny is more at ZZF. Thanks for the help

Venice is definiltey the way to go. First of all, it's cheaper because of supply + demand. Nobody wants the old Winchesters anymore, they all want the new Rev E Venices. The Venice has an improved memory controller which will allow you to run 4 sticks of DDR400 @ 400mhz, instead of the old memory controller which downlocked them all to 333mhz. Rev E A64's also have SSE3 instruction. They overclock better too.

x800xl + 3200+ venice = 😀

I got the winchester core before venice came out, but luckily, all my ram is one sided (4x256mb ddr400), so I can run 1T timings.
