3200 vs 3500 venice

im going be runing a 800xl on a dfi ultra-d. will a see a day to day difference with these 2? will there be a difference in gaming? will there be any difference in video editing? i still can decide if i shuld go big or be normal? any thoughts comments are apricated thanks

PS- i no there are many thread concerning venice so thank you for your time reading this

I think it would be pretty tough to notice much of a difference between the two. The performance increase is something around 10% or less for various tasks.

realistically, 200 MHz isn't a huge difference. In CPU extensive apps it will be a 10% difference, but most cases are not CPU intensive. Games are video card limited most of the time at the resolutions and settings most people use. In the games I play there is no noticeable difference between my Newcastle at 1800 and 2300 MHz, when I check at the resolutions and settings I actually play at.

Day to day -- no noticeable difference
games -- slight difference in some games, zero difference in others
video editing -- probably most noticeable difference.

Unless the price differance from the 3200+ and 3500+ is ~$50 or less i'd go for it.

If its not, then no.

i say save yourself some money and if you feel you need more preformance than just OC it a little or a lot depending on what you need.

3200, and get into overclocking... will save u hundreds for same performance... u can overclock that 3200 easy to 2.4ghz with everything at stock voltage stock fan, everything... too easy and free Mhz...

y the hell would u have a dfi board if ur not considering OCing... yeah yeah You.. I know You!
😛

ill have to first figure out how to get it running then get it stable then after a while ill figure out how to oc thanks for all your opinons

If your that new to overclocking just keep the 3200+ at stock.

Your not going to see any differance between 200 mhz.

Keep it at stock.

Right now the 3200 is AMD's miracle overclocking chip, however you say no OC. I have heard not so good things about the 3500, most people saying that the 3400 is faster, and it's not worth my money.

Get the 3200 IMO, but I would overclock it.
