had a 42" proscan, pic and sound were great, just make this awful noise when it was off. to me that is just poor production and i felt the unit wouldn't last due to this. there are numberous complaints about it, some say, it can be fixed by a service call.

How's proscan as a company?

~ maybe the bottom 1/3 of TV companies ~

Just saw @ CostCo a 32" Vizio $399 .

I bought the 40" Proscan @ Costco last month

on sale $499 . ( very happy ) ( no annoying humming

sound )

I had the 40" 1080p Element TV at Sears which is a Rebadged Proscan.

Sears Sold 4 Elements.

I had to take mine back because the HDMI's started malfunctioning or not working at all.

When I took mine back. 3 out of the 4 were returned. Not toooo good.

I would get a similarily sale priced Vizio any day over Proscan or Element or any other "no name" brand.

If anyone in KC wants one of these I have a costco cart, just meet me there and I'll get you in, and let you purchase whatever you want with my card :)
