32" LCDTV Resolution

i was thinking because of the limitation of the resolution it would only do 720p, but im not sure. anyone know if a monitor with that max resolution can do 1080i/p?
its a 32" VEA.

Some TVs like that will do 1080i, but since it's not really 1920x1080, i don't find upscaled resolutions look so good.

It's kinda like on my projector, i can run 1024x768, or upscaled to 1280x1024.
Due to the higher rez being upscaled, it looks worse IMO (not for video, but for everything else).
