32 inch HTPC

I'm looking for a gaming 32 inch tv.My Biggest concern is response time and input lag using a tv/receiver/pc combination.I need help in finding decent 32" htpc tv for movies, and pc/ps3 gaming.Budget around 400 dollars, but willing to go higher within reason. When I google this subject, like "Best HDTV for gaming" there is a huge difference of opinion.Advertising is so misleading. They used to list the response time with the tv specs, but now they cover it up with terms like,Clear Motion Rate,Game Mode,ect...There are so many models its hard to insure the specs stay the same.I mean specifically, response time and lag.

I want to build a budget htpc for the bedroom.Gaming would be nice,so that's why I need help.I have 55" inch tv in the main room for tv and PS3 gaming, but I want something smaller for the bedroom. We have a 4 pedestal wood bed.I set up a desk, with risers to accommodate a tv and a receiver for added height.I wanted to clear the footboard on the bed,and raise the viewing. The distance from the tv is 7 feet.I will be using a pc cart lower than the desk,to keep noise levels down on an Antec 900.I decided on a Yamaha RX-V371BL 5.1 A/V receiver.Nice price at 185 dollars for 5.1 100 watt/channel amp. One thing that's unique to Yamaha receivers is Silent Cinema! Speakers aren't always an option, and Yamaha has a headphone surround sound decoder built-in. You have to enable a Cinema DSP setting to enable the surround encoding, through HDMI or optical line-in.The bonus here,is getting accurate directional cues while gaming.Pairing this receiver with Audio Technica ATH-AD700 open-air Dynamic Headphones.

1.Do all 1 year warranty's suck for hdtv's?

2.720p vs 1080p on a 32" tv with 7 feet viewing distance.I heard 720p looks good on this size tv and achieves higher fps.Is that true?

3.What tv best suits my needs
