32:9 gaming question

Hello,

I did some googling but missed any posts with a detailed list of all games that support 32:9 - is there a comprehensive list or site for this?

The games I play most often are
All Bioshocks
Call of Duty 5 and up
Doom 2016
Wolfenstein New Order, Old Blood, New Collossus
And just about any FEAR

I haven't bought a 32:9 monitor yet but with the 49" out already I figure a 55" can't be that far behind. I'd love to replace my 2 32" screens with one big one and use it for gaming.

Maybe you could try making a custom resolution (1920x540 or something) and see if it works.

Nvidia and amd both have this in their settings tools. There's also a tool called CRU that may work if the nvidia/amd custom res doesn't. (cru overrides the monitor resolution list at startup)

The 32:9 Samsung (only one I know of off hand) lets you segment the display. If a game supports full screen, then awesome, hope you have the GPU power for it. But if it doesn't, you can segment the center (fully customizable) into a screen, with two smaller ones to each side, and play off the center one.

Those older games will most likely have a tough time with ultra wide resolutions. But newer games tend to do well with it. Guy I know has one, and it was pretty amazing with fortnite.

Check out Wide Screen Gaming Forum and the utility program they have there. I use it all the time for my 5760x1080 gaming. It automatically applies known fixes for widescreen. They also maintain a database of widescreen support
