32" / 36" Survey - Which do you think is the best?

Looking at buying a 32" or 36" tv. Sony seems to be very expensive, and the best. What would you all consider being "second" best behind the Sony wega. I don't need HDTV or Flat Screen.

32's are ok as long as they are a C or D cup....36's are always better unless they are on a fat woman, or worse...a fat man.

I got a 32" JVC non-HD simply because some 36" models wouldn't fit in our armoire with the center channel speaker and I wasn't expecting to buy a TV at the time (our other set temporarily died and forced me to buy ahead of schedule.) I'll probably get an HD set in another year or two. Considering I picked it up for ridiculously cheap in comparison to an HD model I'll be quite content with it until then.

if you are looking for a good set that is priced less than the sony wega's, check out the toshiba cinema series. They have every feature that a sony does, but cost less. Most people that see the cinema series and the wega side by side choose the toshiba. Are you looking for a flat screen or conventional tube? HD or no?

Look at Samsung, Toshiba, Panasonic, Hitachi

Exactly what conjur said. Sony is not the best, merely in the top 5. Barely making the top 10 in RPTVs.

-edit- for the price I'd be looking at a 48" 2004 mits TV.

Post your price and what you want to use a TV for and some of the video experts here (myself, conjur, viper (sony bigot), amused) can help.

Those cinema series do look nice.
I am just looking for a decent/good 32-36 inch television to watch tv/dvds on. I dont have any gaming consoles, and have digital cable. Looking for something that is nice, will look nice, and last me a while. Right now I have a cheap Sharp 21" television :brokenheart:

you should check out those cinemas...they are only carried by smaller companies. If you are good, you should be able to negotiate a good price on one.
