I have choice of 3 monitors, all 27 inches and one 32 inches 1440 monitor. I have Vega 64 graphics card, I never do gaming, just programming, scientific computing and 1080p BluRay movies/video I watch and of course lot of web-search using browser:

My budget is fine with the price of 144 Hz monitor. It is just that I don't know if 144 Hz will be useful for my work.

NOTE: I used this PPI calculator:

https://www.omnicalculator.com/othe...ag_size:19!inch,height_res:1366,width_res:768

Currently I am using 19 inches monitor with 1366x768 resolution and it has PPI of 83. I feel great on this monitor. The new 32 inches has PPI of 92. So, I guess it will be better

are you ever intending on gaming?
if not i see no benifit at all except possibly resell or redeployment to a gaming system in you getting 144hz.
