hmmm thats kinda low, have you tried playing any games, do they suffer as well?
Did you install your agp driver, my MB had one and I diddnt know for a while. I gained about a thousand points in '05 when I installed it. Are you running in AGP 8x and not something like 2x? Try another card in your computer, or your card in another computer. Could be the card.

damn, I need sleep, cant think right. Ill have more ideas in the morning if you havnt figured it out yet.

Uhm, I've reinstalled everything from scratch (again) and no luck. I've tried playing cs:source online, only getting like 30 fps average (roughly in every resolution with generally every feature on medium or turned off - AA off) and fps drops to 20s. There is no agp driver i think, cuz my the card uses pci-e. I've installed everything in my mobo driver disk except intel chipset driver which i installed the newer version from the web. I dun have anyone i know yet that has pci-e mobo to test my card on.

Have you tried with an earlier Cat? Have you checked for BIOS updates for your motherboard? Have you ever gotten a better score with that card? What speeds does your card report to be running and how hot?

Take a look at your ATi's control panel (or the Catalyst Control Center, if that's what you have), and make sure the mipmap and texture quality is set at "Performance", that is what is usually recommended for Benchmarking (to get the best score possible), and also make sure Anisotropic Filtering and Anti-Aliasing are both turned Off.

Shouldn't be that big of a difference between performance and quality. Also AA/AF should be fine in CS source especially. Sounds really low...I'd try what Stnicralisk said. If it doesn't help then ditch the card. That card should be getting at least 5k with that cpu.

Bios updated, card running on its native speed (499/499), mip map all those stuffs set to performance with AA on app preference, still doesnt help. Will try earlier cat now after downloaded. I bought this whole thing from my friend. Its weird, that with the same setup (lower ram actually, before it was only 1024) he got 5k sumthing.

ps: x800xt running around 60-64 after benchmark

I just found out, my cpu score in 3dmark05 is 1784. I searched the ORB thingy and found out people have been getting 3-4k

It's a program that is able to find out how much your Intel P4 CPU throttles when you put sustained load on it for some duration.

The cure is a better cooling solution. For a 3.6GHz the cooling better be really, really good.
