I think the Syntax is believed to have a Samsung screen. I wouldn't say that it's better than this Hisense TV though. Most people prefer the Syntax because it has DVI input unlike most bargain LCD TV's. This Hisense for $999 + shipping + free dvd player is definitely a better deal thatn $1100 + shipping for the Syntax.Originally posted by: Chadder007

So is the Syntax better?? I see the one posted here is an LG/Phillips panel....doesn't Syntax make their own or do they have someone else make them?

i was remarking more to the point that they list a Digital Video Interface connection as analog
I have the Syntax 30" and i paid 999 and what the other guy said is true... HD looks amazing, i have it hooked up via composite. Never even tried the DVI but nice to know i have it if i ever get aaround to buying a DVD player
