The best deal I've seen for a GTX 280, no less the factory SCC model (Super Super Clocked). You need an eBay/paypal account.

1 - sign up for a live.com account

2 - sign up for the live search cashback program which gives you 25% cashback on certain eBay purchases with paypal.

3 - sign into live.com and type in "GeForce"

4 - click on the eBay sponsored link at the top of the results

5 - search for "EVGA 280 scc" and click on the one for $434.99 sold by "multiwavevideo" or "techtreasure"...both of whom are really www.mwave.com and send you an mwave.com invoice for the rebate.

6 - click buy it now, it breaks down like this:
$434.99 - 25% = $326.25
$326.25 - $30 rebate = $296.25
$296.25 + 10.99 ship = $307.24 after Live! cashback and rebate.

Free FarCry 2 link is with the rebate link above.

This card is $404+ shipping at newegg after a $30 rebate.



This method can be used on many different items, but the 25% really knocks a lot off on the high priced items (gtx280, 4870 x2). I also noticed the MSI 4870 1gb for $205 shipped after rebate/cashback, which is about $70 cheaper than Newegg right now.

Go to www.live.com and type geforce into the search window. Don't select the cashback link first (this is how I got it to show).
 
Yep its a great deal and Mwave/TT is top notch!

I got my GTX 280 from there for about the same price, except I got it launch day. 😉
 
Ugh it's getting hard to wait any longer. Was looking for the 280 to hit below 300, but waiting for the cashback kinda sucks (although on the plus side that cashback shouldn't enter in the amount you paid if you step up later).
 
Did a little research last night before finally going through with an order before hitting the bed. Got a benny when I woke up and found an email saying MS had already sent me the $109 cash back to my account. 🙂

I ordered before you did and all I get is "Pending" for mine with "January 23, 2009 (58 days left)". 🙁 It's probably karma for all the crap I've said over the years about MS. 🙂

I'm not seeing my mwave invoice. I just have some e-bay messages saying congrats, the item shipped, etc. Where do I get the actual invoice from Mwave that can be used?

the price has gone up by $15, but MSLive Cashback at eBay is also up from 25% to 30%. mWave sends an invoice with the item; if not, you can also request one by email or log into you mwave account to print one.

also when i click on the ebay cashback thing, it just sends me to their website searching for geforce.
 
Open your eyes and you'll see. Near the top of the page, within the shaded area, is the link to ebay with 30% CB. Clink on "GeForce Items" to go to ebay and then search for whatever you like to buy. As a reminder, the transaction must be finished within 1 hour from the time the online session started. Also before you commit to buy the item, make sure you see the cashback icon on the page.
 
yes. Shortly after you pay with paypal, you should receive a message in your ebay account to notify you about the CB.
