300zx, Supra, NSX, 3000gt?

Where's the "tell your friends to piss off" option? I would never buy a car to get accepted into a group.

Get a C5. lots more mods available for it, and you can get them for well under $20K. Not to mention it smokes any of those cars except the NSX (maybe). Can't go wrong with a Vette, it's one of the ultimate icons of a sports car.

300ZX TT is nice but I prefer N/A cars. No turbo lag.
3000GT......hahaha, sorry, that's all I can say
NSX? No way, just plain ugly. Too expensive.
Supra? Good car but WAY overrated, they're very fast, but not untouchable by a car 1/2 the price, and certainly easy work for a Vette.

out of those i'd take a supra........but if not i'd take an rx-7 but just for style, i actually kinda like the integra, sure you could make those fast

Can I join in the fun?

First let me say that I am not a hater of import cars. My last car was an 85 300ZX and it was a blast to drive. The Supra Turbos are sweet cars and I love the NSX (though it was a bit cramped for me at 6' 1" and 250.)

Having driven all three, I have to say that I have not had as much fun as I do in my Corvette. I have a 95 6-speed convertible with a couple of low-dollar mods and for the price, there isn't a sweeter car on the road.

It is true that the 80's Vettes sucked (power wise, though it still had the classic shark profile), but most cars sucked in the 80's, so that is no big discovery. The early C4's had problems and could be particular. By the mid 90's, the bugs had been worked out and you just couldn't buy a faster, better driving car for the price you paid for a Corvette.

With the prices tanking after the C6 was debuted, you can get a honey of a deal on a used C4.

All I am saying is that you have to drive one to really appreciate the long nose, the sweeping lines, the power off the line and the cache of owning America's only productions sportscar. The total experience is much greater than the sum of its parts.

Have any of the folks here who hate the Vette actually driven a new one?

Basically, thats what Ive been saying.

for 60-70K, you can have a nice fast import, and thats great if you are into that.

But for 25-30K, you can get a C4 vette, and be cooler, and faster. And still perform just as good, if not better than ther import.

Maybe if you had a mullet, lived in hickville, and your name was billy bob.

I'll take the NSX, it may not be as fast, but it's got incredible handling, an aluminum body, perfect Honda reliability, and fit and finish that the corvette has never been able to touch.

No mullet... hell, no hair, but I am a bit of a hick. 😱

On the plus side, I get my Vette back from the painter today and I am gonna take my hick azz and go enjoy the 80 degree weather with a little top-down ride....

300zx all the way for under 10grand in "bolt on" and computer tweaks you can have a car with 500hp....my dad had one of these his was at 420 but I don't think you need more power than that the thing was a freaking rocket.
