Picked up some very lightly used powertrix coilovers from a friend that had it on his garage queen for two seasons. Didnt take too long to install. Kinda sucks loosing the adjustable stock suspension. Winter rims and tires for now. Still a little too stiff. May soften em up all the way till the end of winter.

Aren't those normally just shock mounts? Is the unibody strong enough to support springs in addition?

approve! and throckmorton most shock mounts are desgned for the impact a shock bottoming out. so if those were shock mounts they are plenty strong

Very nice! Bummer about losing the stock adjusting though, I've always been amazed at how tangible of a difference that little switch made on such an old car.

Gonna prolly keep em at this height. No hella flush for my cars!

I miss the adjustable already. Have them set up right now about what the soft setting was but its still a bunch harsher since rebound is a stiffer. Great kit from powertrix if you ever want one for your Z.

not really related but I just got a new box!

But what happens when you have the force of the springs AND the suspension bottoms out? Normally when you bottom out, a large portion of the force is still born by the springs and where they mount to the unibody.

That would be sweet.

The stockers are just for winter. In the spring the 350z wheels get new rubber and go on the car. The wing will go when the car gets painted. I cannot wait till its gone. I hate it less than I used to now.

I wouldnt worry about the unibody throck.
