300watt - too small?

might be by just a little. i was using an antec 330 with a 9800 pro, 2 ghz athlon, and 3 7200 rpm drives, worked just fine. that p4 isn't drawing much more power than that athlon was.

That particular power supply might work for you but I would highly recommend getting an antec, enermax, etc 350w or larger.

Yeah, a decent 350W would be a good idea. I mean, if you're going to balls-to-the-wall the thing, you won't have any room for upgrades should the urge visit you 😉

Personally, I wouldn't use less than a 400w QUALITY PS with that setup. My preference is TSP power supplies but they are a little hard to find.

Enhance PSUs are better than average. It should do fine. Assuming you have exhaust fans in every available location, if the exhaust air from the PSU feels too warm (as the air from my new Delta did), just bypass the thermal fan speed control in the PSU to let the PSU fan run full speed all the time. Or wire it to an adjuster to allow you to set the PSU fan speed manually.
