300W enough for this rig?

ENLIGHT EN-72370X3C4 MEDIUM ATX TOWER 300W PSU
ECS K7S5A SiS® 735 SOCKET A MOTHERBOARD
Gainward/Cardexpet GeForce 3 Ti200, Power Pack Golden Sample, 4ns 64MB DDR
AMD Althon XP 1600+/266 FSB PROCESSOR CPU - RETAIL
CRUCIAL MICRON 256MB 32x64 PC 2100 DDR RAM
SONY 1.44MB 3.5 INCH INTERNAL FDD DRIVE
Seagate Barracuda IV ST340016A 40gb 7200rpm EIDE
PIONEER INTERNAL ATAPI 16X DVD-ROM MODEL 116
Total $641 from Newegg

Would this case+PSU be enough? Better off with 400W?

300W will work, but if you have the extra cash get the 400W for more headroom down the road.

From all I have seen and read, the ECS board is VERY picky about voltages and memory. May be good idea to get a bigger better pwr supply right off the bat and possibly avoid a lot of problems........

As long as you have less then like 5 or 6 drives you will be ok ... but if you keep adding more and more hard drives and cd drives ... fou may run into trouble

300 should be fine, I'm running my system with an antec 300 watt PS and I have 3 HD's, a burner, and a dvd rom in my system along with the other goods, it runs fine.

<< I would just spend $13 more and get the same Enlight case w/ 340Ws. >>

I will do that. Didn't find that option on Newegg but there are other places I guess.
Thank you all for the input. This rig will be the new main rig when $$$-flow is better.

It's for some gaming and watching movies. I am also on the lookout for a card with TV-tuner with capture option preferably with a timer to replace (avoid buying) a VCR.

I support the jump to a larger ps. It gives you more room for expansion plus it will run cooler and give you fewer problems down the road. If you ever plan on selling/trading the unit, the larger ps will be a better trading point.
