Here's my setup (going to get)

1.4ghz
msi k7 master
512 ram
64mb gf3
16/10/40 liteon
16x pioneer DVD
Turtle Beach
ibm 60gxp 40 gig
floppy
ethernet card

I want to get the Enlight 7237 w/ 300 watt approved case, because of cost issues. Will this support my system? (I will not be overclocking) If theres any concerns should I go with a 1.333 ghz AMD because of energy usage?)

you could always ditch the p/s that comes w/ the case and get an Enermax 431 watt p/s. then you know you'll have enough power for that 1.4

I dont think 300W is enough, you got a bunch of stuff, and a 1.4GHz. AMD recommends the Enlight 340W in this case, so I think you should get the Enlight 7237 with the 340W power supply, it's availabe at newegg.com.

300W should barely make it as long as you don't have too many hds or fans.

In my case 300W is not enough (random crashes), but I have more drives, V5, and 2 big 120mm fans.

fans and hard drives do not matter - they take 12v and 5V, the cpu takes mostly 3.3V.

300watt will work, but it will stress the PSU and shorten its lifespan. We have no way to know for sure, but it is my guess that it will be stable, but your PSU might blow out after a year or so.

It's the old percentages game. In all probability a 300W Psu would be fine, but my personal opinion is that a few extra dollars spent on a good 340/350 Psu is always money well spent.

It is my personally experience.

2 120mm fans-->boot to windows and crashed right away.

take 1 120mm fans off-->at least I could boot to windows but 12v only at ~11.5v

I hook 2 300W ps and everything works falwlessly except I have to turn 2 switches on/off. 12v still only at ~11.7

Now I got a 430W Enermax. 12v is at ~12.01

TBird 1.2@1.4
V5-5500
LITE-ON 16/10/40
Toshiba 12x DVD
3 WD 7200 300BB
2 120mm fans (0.6A each ~= 6 80mm fans)
SB Live 5.1, nic, TV...
