300m sprint on an 1/4 mile oval track

Just curious - 300m on a 1/4 mile oval track is about 3/4 of one lap - what's a good starting and ending point to measure out 300m? I'm thinking it's one complete straightaway, one curve, and then the other complete straightaway, and not including the other curve. Is that about right?

There should probably be a starting line for the 300m hurdles.
