Ok first off system specs...
500watt Antec PS
Abit Kv8 pro
AMD 3400+
1.5GB 3200DDR
6800GT EVGA
120GB IDE seagate
80GB seagate SATA
300GB Seagate SATA
Ok here is my problem, whenever I try installing my new 300GB HD I got for x-mas it does not recognize even after the seagate discwizard installation. I hooked up everything correctly and it just does not recognize the 300GB. My machine has 2 onboard sata controllers, (SATA 1, and SATA 2). My system has no problems recognizing the 80GB SATA no matter what controller I plug it into, I have switched SATA cables as well as flash to the lastest BIOS and updated my chipset on my motherboard, I even changed power plugs. I have tried all that I can think of at the moment
, and I need some help with this.
Whenever both SATA's are plugged in at once, there is noticeable lag in the windows loading process. I have tried unplugging my other SATA and running the discwizard and nothing is detected. I looked in my BIOS and everything appears to be set up correctly.
Does anyone have any ideas?
