Which one of these Venice processors will hit 2.6GHz reliably w/ Thermalright XP-90 hsf? Which one is recommended?

Athlon 64 3000+ (Venice)
Athlon 64 3500+ (Venice)
Athlon 64 3500+ E6 (Venice)

I hit 2.6 gHz on my A64 3000+ and XP-90, but I had to loosen my memory timings a bit. Running 294x9 on it, Corsair XMS memory @ ~194 (3-3-3-8) on the 133 divider. Ah well, can't complain, everything's stable as can be.

In your situation, I would go for the A64 3200, for both price-performance ratio and the 10x multiplier.

See my sig, i use retail cooler, right now the room temp is 35 degrees ambient and my max temp after prime for 4 hours is 51 degrees.
The 3200+ would be the best as its cheaper and it will max out at about the same speed as the 3500+.

If you want some thing right now then go with Opteron 144 and hit 3GHZ with smile on your face.

Besides the 1MB cache, whats the main difference between the Opteron 144 and the 3000+?

higher grade silicon=higher electrical efficiency=higher overclocks.
