300 watt power supply enough?

I have a Antec SX-830 with the 300 watt power supply. I have a Thunderbird 1.1gig, Radeon 32meg, IBM 75gxp, WD 9.0gig, PC133 128meg, Plextor 12x burner, Asus 12x DVD, Asus 50x cd-rom, SB Live Value, NIC, Promise ATA100 PCI controller.

Noticed there was a real good deal in the f/s section on Enermax 430 watt PS and was wondering if I needed to upgrade my 300 watt or if I was ok.

His your system stable?if so then you don`t need to upgrade your PSU just yet, on the other hand if not time to upgrade.

🙂

That'd be good enough for now but you might as well upgrade your PSU if you plan on more upgrading in the future.

300W is plenty and can handle a lot of devices. Heck, I had a PII450 with two hard drives, one CDROM drives, a Promise ATA/66 controller, TNT2 Ultra, MX300, NIC, modem, a slot fan, the Card Cooler, two HD fans, two Gamma blowers, and three USB devices all on a 250W power supply!
