Yes.... please give us the brand and the readings on the side of the power supply. More specifically the 12v 3.3V 5V Rails and the AMPs on each.

300w would be pushing the lower limits especially if you are gaming or doing anyting that is demanding on the system. You would be supprised how much headache a good quality powersupply will save you.

You will probably want a larger psu to give you more room, particularly if you are going to o/c and do a lot of gaming, altho like others mentioned, the specs count and especially the brand, because if 300w is enough for an amd64, it must be a very good psu. I think Amd recommends 300w minimum psu for amd64's.

Perhaps would should just make a sticky to not respond to phantomracoon's questions..then they would just keep dropping off the page, and we wouldn't have to look at them..

i had a 300w powerman that came with my inwin, it was enough to power my dual xeon + 4 ide drive + 2 dvd + 4 cards on the xeon board. I thought it wouldn't even boot up but it did... I expanded to over 10 drives so I bought myself a 480w now

Nothing will ever burn out or fry, because the stated wattage is simply the maximum possible.

Get a generic 200w psu with 5a on the 12v rail, then your computer won't work anymore, and you won't be able to post anymore.
