300 W power supply enough?

will a 300 watt power supply be enough for this system?

asus a7v-333
athlon 2800+
1 gig pc2700 ram
9600XT
Audigy 1
2 120GB HDs
DVD
CD-RW

techinical specs on the PS:
+3.3v = 28A +5v = 30A +12v = 15A
+5Vsb = 2A -5v = 0.3A -12v = 0.8a
-andy

it could work but it is under the "requirements" imo
350 watts would prob be the minimum recommended for either of those video cards
400+ watts (good brand like antec) would be better for that athlon and vid card
if you are overclocking 300 watts will stop you flat

prob be fine if it's a good PSU, maybe not if it's just some thing that comes with a el cheapo case. I'd probably buy a 350w antec or something anyway though, but thats me.

Dont expect it to be anything like fine for these new coming vid cards though 😉

its from the case i already have, an inwin with psu "fsp300-60btv"
apparently the brand name is either fortron or sparkle (from google search on that model no.)
i remember reading a review of 300w PSUs on THG a year or two ago and this one was quite high ranking.

Itll work fine as thats a well known brand and its quality not quantity with PSU's, your better off with your PSU than say a superflower 550W for $15. Im running A64//9800 PRO// 1GIG PC3200 RAM//2 160 GB HDDS//DVD//DVD-RW// MSI 6471 all with a 300W psu from seasonic. No problems

I actualy ran this psu for a few months & it's got plenty of power.

I used it with my P4 @ 3ghz 2 hd's 2 opticals & a 9800,so you'll be fine with that fortron power supply.

a lite-on 300w powers my

mobile athlon 2400+ at 2300 1.7v
CDRW
DVD-Rom
120gb HD
40gb HD
floppy drive
4 case fans
Geforce 3 ti200
Santa Cruz
256mb PC3200 11-3-3-2 2.7v

its completely stable, prime tested and memtest-86 approved

but then again, the antec 300w was having trouble. 😕

like....wow

I've got the same Powerman 300W PSU that I replaced the fan with a panaflo L1A running a 2800+ XP at 2.2GHz 1gb pc3200, 4 HDD's, overclocked Ti4200, 4 80mm quiet case fans, 2 optical drives, 2 audio cards and several usb devices on a NF7-S without a single hiccup. You'll do just fine.

I laugh every time I see "I have 2 HDDs a moderatly fast CPU and a good videocard... do I need a 450 Jiggawatt PSU?" (what the hell is a jiggawatt BTW??? 😀)

Tell that to the guys that have crammed a 3GHz P4, 2 HDDs a DVD burner. a SB-Audigy and a Radeon 9800pro into a Shuttle XPC that only has a 200W supply.
Quality --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Quantity

(what the hell is a jiggawatt BTW??? 😀)

That's Christopher Lloyd mispronouncing Gigawatt. The producer on the DVD does pronounce it correctly, however.
Anyway, a Gigawatt is one billion watts.

Ah yes, because obviously I've read all the same ATOT threads you have and that smiley could mean only one thing.
Sorry for trying to be helpful. No need for you to be a dick about it.
