I have rather beat stock rims/hubcaps now ('98 Corolla CE), and I had an offer of $300 for four alloys w/tires..stock from an '01 S. 300 bucks -- they still have decent tread life left, and the rims themselves are in great shape...is this an okay deal?

Try finding some bigger rims if that's your taste
those S rims are only 14 or 15" at most

They're 14s. The most I'd probably want to go is 15 or 16, but tires get more expensive..and nice 15-16" rims/tires would probably run me at least $600.

I don't want to go to Canada to get them, though..:p I'd probably want 5-spoke max, though -- nothing too showy.

they probably arent the right bolt pattern anyhow.

I seriously doubt it..heh

I have some new (well..~5mo) Bridgestone rubber on my tires now, so getting the same size might work out quite well.. ;)

The '98-02 Corollas are the same, so I don't see why they wouldn't..I have a '98 CE; he has '01 S rims.
