I really need a new phone I currently use a Nokia E71. I am not too keen on Android and while I would love to get the iphone4s it's just way out of my budget (I need an unlocked phone)

What would you guys recommend? I know the Nokia Sea Ray is going to be out but I figured it will be in the $500-$600 range anyway. Is this a good time to get a Mango phone?

Will current generation mango phones be WP8 compatible when it releases next year?

iPhone 4 if you want iOS.

You can get almost any Android phone for that price.

Who is your service provider?

Are you using Straight Talk? If so, any ATT branded phone will work too. It doesn't have to be unbranded/unlocked. You can get a used iPhone 4 for that price. Otherwise, most android/WP7 phones can be bought for that price too. I am not so sure the new Nokia phones will be $600. Almost all ATT branded phones can be bought for $450-500 at launch from forums.

If you're interested in Mango, the Focus is a steal at $260 new unlocked (check Amazon).

iPhone 4S - $650 unlocked
iPhone 4 - $550 unlocked
iPhone 3GS - $350 unlocked

If you really want an unlocked phone, I would stay away from iOS.
