30 years gone today

Heh...we were on a trip up to Petaluma and the Point Reyes light house. Stopped at a yard sale in Petaluma...the hippie chicks were all sitting around crying. I asked what was wrong..."OMG! Jerry died today! How can you not know?" "Jerry? Jerry Who? Oh...that guy...just another good heroin addict." (I beat a hasty retreat to my truck) 😛
 
At this point in my life I've probably spent more time jamming on Dead tunes with folks than I have actually listening to the Dead 😛
I remember the farewell he got in the newsgroups.
