30 mins ago: Almost got caught for an underage

We couldn't find anywhere to drink, so my friend said we could go to his dad's car body shop. Ok, fine. We decided to turn all the lights off, and only leave on a lamp, so no one could see inside. Fine for about 2 hours, just listenin to music, and tellin stories, just the five of us. All of a sudden, we see a truck pull up, and then a cop car. We are all like. OH SHIT. I run into the little bathroom to hide, while seeing flashlights shining through the windows. Then we hear, "this is the cops, were coming in!" apparently they thought we were robbing the place. So then theres like 5 cops standing there around us, along with my friends dad that owns the place, when they finally get in. (we couldnt run, they had the thing surrounded) They were really nice about everyting tho, and gave us the brethalyzers, and stuff. (we all registered somewhere between .04, and .1 They made us dump out the rest of our 2 cases of beer, which kinda sucked. Then, they told us to call our parents to get a ride home, but I pussied out, and my friends mom gave me a ride home. (she was cool with everything, just happy we didnt get any fine, or ticket) And here I am posting on ATOT about 30 mins after seeing the cops. The one cop said he was going to call our parents in the morning. So I don't know if I should wake up my parents now, and tell them, or wait until morning. I am thinkinkg about waiting till morining, telling them, and hoping they wont go too crazy because I wasn't driving or anything. Sorry guys for the long read, and my stupid actions.

No BS! I realize that i am EXTREMELY lucky though. Cop said that it would be a 200 fine, and we got off since it was all of our first times being caught.

Cops show up out of the blue and start searching the building.

Either your PD is extremely over staffed, or there was a hell of a lot more than 5 kids and lots of noise, or you made it up

I've seen cops give out warnings instead of MIP citations a few times, but those were all house parties, not hanging out in some warehouse.

I knew a guy who was doing 60mph in a 30mph road and he was let off with some words from the Policeman. He had his license for about 4 weeks and this was in England. He was lucky.

I guess we were counting on our friend who only had a few.

Just told my parents, my mom was kind of concerned, but didn't think I should get grounded or anything. My dad just kind of laughed, glad that we didn't get a ticket. He asked me if I learned anything, i said "yeah, don't drink in a car body shop ever again" He just laughed. Went easier than i thought.

when i was under 18 (still to young to drink, haha) I just made friends with girls and people who had their own houses. Although sometimes I get nostalgic over being 16, the one thing I dont miss is having to find someplace to "go".

If there's where it happened, looking at the size of the town, I'd imagine people tend to notice anything out of the ordinary, and a report of a break-in would be a major event for the cops.
