30" LCD for $699...............no rebate @ microcenter

holy bejesus..... uhhhh, i know it says it doesn't have dvi in but somewhere, i think even on this forum i heard the new revisions of this same lcd do? can anyone who knows chime in here, because if it has dvi im going to microcenter to pick this up. 700 is just too damn cheap...

If you plan on using for HDTV, if it doesn't have HDCP supported DVI/HDMI don't bother.

Max resolution is 1280 x 768, that's way too low for a 30" PC monitor IMO.

That's because it's NOT a monitor, it's a TV. It just happens to support VGA input.

Just called and talk to "Kim" at Microcenter and she said that shipping price was put there to discourage 2nd day air for this product.

Good lord this is cheap. Remember when microcenter had those 30" ones going for 999 last year, this is roughly comparable, no? Damn, I may have to throw down on this one.

I have the Spectre from Costco, and it has all the DVI HDCP stuff... So, I think I would just keep my monitor- but thats a pretty nice setup. The Costco monitor has 16ms repsonse time, and the contrast appears the same. Though, I know that the screen on the Spectre is alittle bit wider. Spectre weighs 66.5pouns while this puppy is 30 something. I am happy with Spectre and a costco backing, but this looks nice. No HDCP is a loss I must add.
