I am thinking of getting a new monitor sooner or later. Is a 30 inch monitor considered to big by anyone or is it really not? Do you have to turn your head a lot ?

depends how close you sit to it. I sit arms length away from screen. I've tried up to 32 inch. My preferred size is 27 inch.

I have a 28" one next to a 24. I wish I only had 28" and not the 24. It's really nice especially the 1200 instead of 1080 resolution. :'(

I don't really notice that but what do you mean by 1200 instead of 1080 resolution ?

Like what is the full resolution of the 24 inch compared to the 28 inch ?

My 24 inch is 1920x1080, the 28 is 1920x1200. It really does make a difference too.

So why is 1920x1200 better than 1920x1080 ?

More vertical. More real estate. The 1200 aspect makes it easier for productivity and web surfing. Also easier on the eyes if your eyes are weak and/or wear glasses. Its a shame the industry is moving away from 1200 and going 1080.

I use a 90 inch projector for my movies only.

Tried it for gaming but couldn't get my mouse and keyboard turned around enough to use it.

It's like saying is my CPU too fast, is having a really powerful GPU setup too much for the games I play and am going to play. With monitors once you've tried bigger, smaller is sh*t in comparison.

Yeah but some people prefer more than one monitor rather than just one big one sometimes.

Well, think of it this way. If you're looking at a 27", do you think anyone you know would complain about an extra 3"? >_<

Yeah I think I do too. Why did it change ?

TV's are 720P or 1080P and 16:9 aspect... monitors simply duplicated that so people will stop whining about black bars when watching movies.

Some of us get WORK done, too!
