30" Gaming Monitor

Any good decent priced 30" Gaming Monitors? I don't care about 3D just looking for a good gaming monitor. I currently have 2 23".

My EVGA SC GTX 670 will be here today so will be using it. I just game on one monitor and surf on the other.

Can i use a 30" and a 23" until i can get 2 30" ones, the smaller one would be used to surf the web still while the 30" for gaming.

You can always use two different sized monitors. I'm using a Dell U3011 and a Dell 24 inch right now. I game on the 30 and use my 24 for browsing and stats mostly.

Having said that the Dell U3011 is a $1400 monitor. It can be had cheaper if you're patient. You may even be able to get someone at Dell to hook you up around 1200-1250 if get the right person. It's a fantastic monitor.

I had no problems with my 24 and thought it was perfect. Size wise I still like it due to its weight/size on the desk etc. But my goodness is the 30 gorgeous! It makes my 24 seem tiny in comparison. Similar to when I went from a 19 inch LCD to my 24.

I think HP has a decent 30 for 800ish but it has the 2560x1440 res. Dell's has the 2560x1600. The extra vertical pixels are a godsend.

Edit: Looks like I was off a bit on the HP. $1180 with 2560x1600.

I have the 3008 dell.

I think I find ghosting a problem. You know when action is too fast and it looks blurred.

Do u notice anything strange/bad about 3011?

Here in uk they still the 3008. And at a higher price. So i am trying to sell mine and get a 3011.

If you don't like Dell or HP (like me) you can go for the DoubleSight DS-307W. It also has an H-IPS panel.
