Yes I would. I find it interesting that they are offering this, however American Airlines still has this paranoia regarding wifi cards on planes causing massive electrical failures. They even informed me that they no longer allow GPS devices on their planes.![]()
Hell ya I would! I look at it this way...I'm on vacation, and surfing the net for 4-6hrs would make the flight time go by in the blink of an eye. Sh!t, I'm goign to Vegas and they are charging $75-100 per person for show tickets! And how long are the shows, 1hr? I find $30 for 6hrs worth of entertainment pretty damn reasonable.
DAMN, I didn't read the bandwidth they were planning to offer! 5Mbps down, 1Mbps up?!! Man, I can queue up some bit torrents for ondemand movies!Originally posted by: tcsenter
Yeah, I would say that's a bargain since you could also make your voice calls over that. 5Mbps @ 35,000 ft? Damn that's pretty good, really. Plus, this is a first-offering kind of thing, once more carriers get their systems running the prices will decrease.

that's almost as ridiculous as starbucks charging 30 bucks a month for their wi-fi network.

Well considering the hotels charge between $10 and $15 for 24 hour wired access, I dont think its that bad.

If it were a trip to Asia, I'd do it in a heartbeat out of my own pocket. That's a LONG-ASS flight.
