30 Day Mail delivery??

I mailed in for a rebate on a Zyxel router that I bought back in Early October. At first they said that it was scheduled for 1-3-07, but when I checked again, they had moved that to 1-15-07. I just checked again, and they said that it had been mailed on that date, but to allow 30 days for delivery. Why do I get the feeling that they are stalling?

I believe rebate take sometimes. Some companies are even longer than 30 days.

Don't worry, there will certainly be plenty of users coming in proclaiming they all get their rebates in quick time.

I'm sure that 30 days is so that you're not calling them up complaining because it's a day late. If they say typical delivery is 3-5 days, come the 6th day you're on the phone complaining.

So they just pick a number that's so high there's no possible way that it is still in transit after that time (either it's been delivered or it's been lost forever).
