I tried this in 2 other places but I only got one answer based on personal experience and I'd like to double-check it before making a purchasing decision.
It seems that consumer-grade cards, like 5750, can only output 24-bit colors on DisplayPort. I couldn't find any specs to state this clearly, but I couldn't find any mention of 30-bit either. Basically if you want 30-bit on DisplayPort you need a workstation card (FireGL, Quadro.)
The question is if anybody knows otherwise, preferably based on personal experience.
(The 5750 specs do mention Deep Color, but only for HDMI, and HDMI is currently not an acceptable option for connecting a computer to a 2560x1440 monitor.)
