What the hell is this? There was a dispute between the families? Yeah, they be feudin' so they'd better kill a bunch of innocent animals for no apparent reason. Urgh. Bastards.

I enjoy bison burger, steaks, and roasts. I've eaten it most of my life, and in fact, I had a "buffalo burger" last night at Fuddruckers.

Yes, there IS a difference between the American Bison and water or cape buffalo. However, bison are considered the American Buffalo as compared to the rest of the species actually known as buffalo.(s)

I was correcting his thought that we had both buffalo and bison here running around the plains.

I know...I was agreeing with you.

Every year, ranchers around Yellowstone gun down bison that leave the park. They find it cheaper to kill wild bison (a native species) than to vaccinate their cattle (an exotic species) against brucellosis.
