There is talk still going on with Steve at HardForum and Best Buy and an offer to increase the $30 to $100......just talk mind you, nothing firm.....if they are willing to go to $100, they know they really fkd up. I am still holding out for the card. Best Buy doesnt' really have anything I want for $30 or under.......

Should be interesting to see what the timing is on all this, since the expiration for the $30.00 is coming up.
I was just at BB and they had the geforce4 4600 preorder boxes out. It is a Geforce4 box with a sticker on it. The yellow tag said $10, no mention of the final price. After one fiasco, you would think they would be more careful about posting the correct price.
i went to my local b&m and the manager signed the printout of my online receipt and guaranteed that i will get it for $130 the day it gets put on shelves. i used the coupon to buy a $30 gift certificate making this deal so hot i think i caught and std cuz this $hit is burning

You may want to read the fine print. When the card finally shows up, you have to pay the balance of $389.99 to get it. The $10 is just a deposit...

The point I was making is that there was no fine print that mentioned the final price. Not on the tag, not on the box. It did metion having to pay the balance, it just neglected to say what it was.

Same shelf tag in my local store, but no mention of remaining balance....just say "remaining balance due when card is picked up"
They could tell you that you owe $700 at pick up if they like......
Not unless you orderd when the price was "incorrect" or "system error" occured, Best Buy sent them to those who bitched enough. Some who did order, did not receive a $30 GC. I did!

Goobered - I did not send an email to Best Buy, but I still received a $30 GC (though I did register at Steve's Hypothermia website).
That Hardforum thread is huge. I'm at work, so I don't have time to read all of the posts. It seems like most people want to hold out until they either get a) the card or b) a $270 GC.

Yeah, I have a feeling that $30.00 thing was automated and sent to most. Doesn't sound like all I gues, but who knows what kind of arbitrary cut-offs BB may have imposed on this.

I found this site about this GF4 thing and they are talking to the news and more check it! a great GF4 bi*ch site It also says that the coupon was not sent by bestbuy aparently they gave our info to another company so they could send us the coupon, but how much info were they given? kinda bad news there!

I dont know if this was mentioned yet in the thread but when you enter in the coupon on the internet it says its valid tell 3/1, so wow we have one more day to spend it
