today is my three year anniversary for running seti.

i suppose i'll take the opportunity to say that my output will not be what it has been in the last few weeks. now this is not because of the recent cheating debacle - it's because i just got my electricity bill for the last month. i had convinced my roommates to leave their computers on during the day for the project and for the races and the did. i went from doing about 3 a day to doing 15 a day and that was nice! anway, the bill was $25 more thatn it usually is and being a poor college student i can't afford that. so, i guess i'm going back to just a handful a day again.

of course now winxp has decided to hose my computers irq settings and i'll have to fix that first. great.

btw, this seti cheating this has depressed the hell out of me.

edit:oh yeah, i did 3284 work units. i was hoping to hit 3300, but it's just too expensive.

Btw I have to keep my Duron 1.2GHz off most of the time to save on electricity too🙁 ,but nevermind as long as we are contributing thats what counts 🙂
Inccidently ,I'm sure the stats problem will got sorted at some point

And I agree with what the others said, it's not as important how many WUs you contribute to the project, it's that you are contributing what you can! 😀

The cheating sucks. Just have to hope it's not that widespread and Berkeley fixes it quick. 🙁
