To be fair, the poor reviews that I've seen at Newegg, were about the fact that these are roughly USB2.0 speeds, not that they are unreliable. But if you know anything about flash drives, then that won't come as a surprise to you, knowing that these are only 8GB drives. I own several of these, and they are fine drives.

Edit: They write at around 6MB/sec.

Its a USB drive, as long as it works and reads writes at 20mbps or more, they are all good.
